I'm a nonbinary wizard I'm a genderfluid witch I don't know what to call myself Except for maybe "wix" It seems as if we're harder to see Than a polar bear in a blizzard We need representation 'cause My best friend's a trans wizard Hogwarts is a magic place Where I get to be me But there are issues that come with My identity Like whether I should try to pet The unicorns in class Or if the staircase in my dorm Will choose to let me pass Or if I should wear dress robes To dance at the Yule Ball Or if it's way too stressful To decide to go at all I'm a nonbinary wizard I'm a genderfluid witch I don't know what to call myself Except for maybe "wix" It seems as if we're harder to see Than a polar bear in a blizzard We need representation 'cause My best friend's a trans wizard We are not explicit content And we are not not safe for work We're human just like all of you So don't you be a jerk I wish that Hogwarts offered A course on gender studies So everyone would be just fine With my and my trans buddies I'll never be Head Boy or Girl 'Cause those labels don't fit me And please use they/them pronouns You don't have to be witty I'm a nonbinary wizard I'm a genderfluid witch I don't know what to call myself Except for maybe "wix" It seems as if we're harder to see Than a polar bear in a blizzard We need representation 'cause My best friend's a trans wizard

10 years ago I cut my hair And I changed my name as people stared And I went on TV and I so did declare That this is who I am, for anyone that cares I didn't change who I am I've always been a man Still, it changed your world But dad, I'll always stay your little girl 10 years ago, I know you had a hard time And I tried and tried, cause I want you in my life I'm just living true, no doubt in my mind And these changes they take time you'll find I didn't change who I am I've always been a man Still, it changed your world But dad, I'll always stay your little girl I know that you accept me as your son But that Doesn't mean your daughter ever did a run I'll always be close to you, no matter what I love you and no doors are ever shut I didn't change who I am I've always been a man Still, it changed your world But dad, I'll always stay your little girl I didn't change who I am, I've always been a man Still, it changed your world But dad, I'll always stay your little girl But dad, I'll always stay your little girl

Their favorite game is monopoly Unless it takes 17 hours Then they'd prefer fingerpaint twister As long as there's time before bed for a shower Their name is Alex like Alexander or Alexandra Except without the ander or andra at the end Yea there's no ander or andra at the end They're just Alex, and they're my best friend Their favorite dessert is banana bread With whipped cream and cherries on top They're too young to drink cappuccinos I think, But when they grow up, they wanna own their own coffee shop Their name is Sam, like Samantha or Samuel Except without the antha or muel at the end Yea there's no antha or muel at the end They're just Sam, and they're my best friend Alex, they're my best friend, I can't wait til you meet them Sam, they're my best friend, I can't wait til you meet them

I want to follow and know what there's to know What can I say I think you're amazing I want to follow and know what there's to know Like what do you need and What do you grieve and What makes your heart stop (heart stop) What makes you flip-flop What makes you tick-tock Every fact gets me that much closer to knowin' you better (Know-know-know-knowin' you better) (Know-know-know-knowin' you better) (Know-know-know-knowin' you better) (Know-know-know-knowin' you better) Know you better, know you better Know you better, know you I just wanna know you better, know you better Know you better, know you What do you eat and what do you feed on What sustains you, motivates you What do you doubt, and what about you Weaks me in the knees (x 4) Know-know-know-knowin' you better

soft boys, with whispy curls and rosy lips soft boys, your acorn eyes and willow hips stepping to the music of a voice that's just a little high-pitched Will carry you forward nonetheless doesn't matter who you love or how you dress (Ooooooh... Oooh) Strong girls, with pixie cuts and scratchy cheeks Strong girls, with lips that smile oh-so-sweet your laughter fills a room that feels like home until long after you leave A lioness heart beats in your chest I just wish there were more places you could rest (Ooooooh... Oooh) Summer child, with bandaged knees and colored hair Summer child, the world will try but you don't care for labels, and for music so designed to sort and shape you into them Your spirit's so much bigger than you know - One day you will leave this town and you will grow. (Ooooooh... Oooh) Soft boys, with whispy curls and rosy lips Soft boys, your acorn eyes and willow hips...

I don't fit in With the pink or the blue I don't wanna do What the other kids do When I look around I struggle to see Anyone else Who look like me And I feel out of place Like I don't belong And I can't keep the pace Hard to stay strong And I feel out of place Like I don't belong Can you see my face? Can you hear my song? What does normal mean When we really think about it Fit in with the team And don't push the limit I just want to be loved And let the world see me For who I really am Whoever that might be And I feel out of place Like I don't belong And I can't keep the pace Hard to stay strong And I feel out of place Like I don't belong Can you see my face? Can you hear my song? I don't fit in With the pink or the blue I just gotta be me And you just gotta be you

Let your light shine bright, don't ever give up the fight You chose to be, so why not be free?

THE STORY Advisor mariposa asked that we model how we can ask for someone's pronouns. Listen to a tapestry of voices of the many artists on the album sharing their pronouns and reflections. We prepared for this album with an introduction to the Gender Wheel with Maya Christina Gonzalez, along with several of her books with Reflection Press. One book, "They She He Me: Free to Be" was a model for us to celebrate the diversity of self-identity. Pronouns are just one piece of acceptance.

You are who you choose to be When you choose to be who you are The world may be confused by you But you know who you are That face there in the mirror Has the sleep wiped from its eyes As the sun rises, so do you my dear Go shine, go shine You are who you choose to be When you choose to be who you are The world’s not quite like it used to be Thank God we’ve made it this far But this journey’s just beginning And your finding your own way I’ll follow right behind you Whatever road you might take Here’s my vow to you, I’m so proud of you And I will be for all of my days Astounded and amazed by you You’re a rocket, you’re ablaze You are who you choose to be When you choose to be who you are This world is yours to move and change To shape with your hands and your heart That face there in the mirror Doesn’t need to wear a disguise As the sun rises, so do you my dear Go shine, go shine, go shine

Young blood Are you alright? I know that cry'oh Your wicked scars They break your heart Broken down, and beat, and tired When breathing's hard Silently screaming You've earned your stars Through wounded pain Another scar That keeps the fighter A warrior heart Just one more day Just STAY and show them what you're made of Just STAY and show them what you're made of Oh It's a war You're not alone You will find your place'ah The battles real And when it hurts Find the fire and burn the pain When breathing's hard Silently screaming You've earned your stars Through wounded pain Another scar That keeps the fighter A warrior heart Just one more day Just STAY and show them what you're made of Just STAY and show them what you're made of Oooh Ah yeah Oh yeah Woah yeah Ah STAY and show them what you're made of Just STAY and show them what you're made of Just STAY and show them what you're made of Oh STAY and show them what you're made of Oooh oh

Sometimes You don't feel like a girl Sometimes I don't feel like a woman Most days you just feel like a boy Most days I just feel like an alien I wanna give you rings Till your fingers can't bend I wanna weave a thousand bracelets For my best friend I wanna set you up In a house in the bay I wanna frame and hang a picture Of this someday I don't have to call you girlfriend You don't have to be my wife Maybe you could be my comrade Be my teammate for life Maybe we don't have a format of What we dream of We could just be you and me We could just be in love Sometimes I think we'll stay broke Sometimes i think that we'll thrive Somedays i just hate how we're livin' Someday i feel rich by your side Most days I don't wanna have kids Some days i wish that we could But maybe we could just be aunties And love our little babies so good Sometimes You don't feel like a girl Sometimes I don't feel like a woman Most days you just feel like a boy Most days I just feel like an alien Sometimes It's hard just to love Without the words to define But maybe you and me can get by Somehow I think we'll be fine

Snow men get a scarf and a carrot for a nose, black hat, black pipe, black boots, I suppose Snow ladies get a necklace and a skirt 'round their hips, red bow, red cheeks, red licorice lips But why do we roll up circles just to put them inside a square? Showin' 'em who they should be by telling them what they can wear This one here's telling me what fits them best and it's an evergreen tie with a white birchbark dress a lavender hat and an orange peel smile 'cause snowpeople find their own natural style
16.
Gender Let's not get in a fender over gender alright! Remember asking some one what are you is tender and not right So you ask how do you identify Because it's hard to tell just with my eyes So tell me what you feel inside So you can be the best of you and beam with pride! Oh Gender! Let’s not get in a bender over gender, alright! Remember being exactly who you are is full of splendor and light Here are some ways to identify She is for girls and he for guys There’s they and them for in between So you can the happiest and we can sing! Oh Gender, lets not get in a bender over gender, alright!

I love to dance, I love to sing Watching sports is not my thing Sometimes I’m shy, people think I’m uptight I’ve got to be me and that’s all right Chorus: Be who you are, be brave, be loud Be who you are, be bold, be proud Speak up for yourself, don’t follow the crowd Just be who you are I have a friend loves to wear a dress His parents were distressed He had it bad, in this cold world But now she’s a brand-new girl (Chorus) Alex comes from a little town But they’re living in the city now Everyone used to stop and stare But now they’ve got friends who care (Chorus) My friend came here from far away Learning English day by day The family left their home in fear I said, “You are welcome here.” Speak your language, learn in your own way Discover new things as you play Bring more love to those you see And make your own family (Chorus)
18.
Kids in my school make you wanna feel cool And you wanna fit in and belong They say what to wear and what to do with your hair But for me, I think it’s all wrong The clothes that they pick seem to fit on a stick Not a real kid who’s growing like me And I don’t really care to color my hair I just wanna grow up to be me Chorus: We’re all a bit different And we’re a little the same We come in different sizes And we have lots of names But deep inside the most important thing is respecting everyone And that includes respecting yourself as number one Some kids are faster when we’re shooting baskets Or running on our soccer team Some can jump higher and I can admire That it’s easy for them so it seems I like to run and I like to play And remember it’s only a game When the game’s over what matters the most Is the fun that we have when we play Chorus
19.
Walkin around tryin' to live your life like everything's normal and everything's right and it doesn't matter if it's dark or light and everything doesn't get quiet at night Afraid to remember, afraid to forget You think there's a wrong way or right way to feel it You'd leave your heart open but you think you might spill it Cousin I've been there before It's hard to imagine there's anything else or anything more Do I do this for you, do I do it for me I suppose you're a mirror and I guess I will see all that lies underneath all the lies I believe What would you say if I promised again that this hell's not forever, yes I'm sure it will end They say it's eternal, but they say that in fear If they said it in love, would it all disappear Cousin I've been there before I said it in love then I laughed at myself 'til I cried to my core And I'm here to tell you there's more So you do what you will honey please understand that the water was froze but the river still ran So open your hear when you can I know you'll open your heart when you can

When I’m gonna meet someone new, I gotta tell them who I am. I shake their hand, tell my name and then, Say my pronouns are “they/them.” You can call me they, cause it’s what I like. You can call me they, get the pronouns right. You can call me they, when you wanna say: “They’re super awesome in every way!” I heard someone say to my friend: “She’s great at video games,” My friend said “hey, there’s a better way” I smiled as I heard them say: You can call them they, cause it’s what they like. You can call them they, to get the pronouns right. You can call them they, when you wanna say: “They’re super awesome in every way!” Jo went up to the board, And did the math in seconds flat. The teacher said, “He’s very smart!” I raised my hand and did my part: You can call them they, cause it’s what they like. You can call them they, to get the pronouns right. You can call them they, when you wanna say: “They’re super awesome in every way!”

L, G, B, T, Q, I, A--We’ll use as many letters as we need today, Lesbian, gay, and bi, and trans, queer, and intersex, asexual fans, We can be whatever that we are today, and no one can tell us that we’ve gone astray, Pan, and demi, and lipstick too, non-binary—just you be you, There’s agender, genderqueer, two-spirit, and cis, There’s always more we can add to the list, ‘Cause gender is a multiverse, sexual orientation is too Who we fancy, who we don’t--we know what’s true, These here are the Gay-B-C’s, Won’t you sing them now with me….

PRIDE JAM TESTIMONIALS:
"The music party was a huge hit with the youth we serve...interactive, creative and refreshing. They created a fun and supportive environment for the kids to be with each other while also validating and celebrating their experiences of gender diversity. Everyone left the party with a stronger sense of community." -SAYFTEE

"It can be difficult to engage young kids in a virtual group, but everyone was on their feet, dancing, singing along, and completely engaged throughout the event. Our families loved it!"
